Now the green blade rises

I first heard the haunting 'Now the green blade rises' as 'Love is come again' on Parchment's 1972 album 'Light up the Fire'. The lyrics to this 15th century traditional French melody attributed to Noel Nouvelet, were penned by John M.C. Crum in 1928 - Now the green blade rises from the buried grain, Wheat that in the dark earth many years has lain, Love lives again that from the dead has been, Love is come again like wheat that springs up green.' More recently the Smoke Fairies cover it on their Ghosts album.
